In this Emma Comfort Premium mattress review, I will talk about the latest release from the German maker. Emma is one of Australia’s most popular manufacturers and they saw tremendous success with their Emma Comfort mattress. Recently, they decided to expand their range so they developed a second hybrid mattress.
According to the maker, this is the most awarded mattress in Europe so that made me really curious to try this out. Mine arrived almost ten days ago so it’s time now to move to the full review below.
An Airgocell® foam layer featuring an open pore construction that allows airflow. This layer also helps with pressure relief.
An adaptive visco-elastic foam layer that adapts perfectly to your body shape.
A layer made of AeroFlex® pocket springs. These are arranged in 5 zones and provide your body with tailored support.
An HRX foam layer that is very supportive and durable. They have added 3-zone recesses that will provide pressure relief for your shoulders.
The mattress has a medium profile and measures 25cm in height. The image below shows us how each layer is positioned.
What is the cover made of?
The cover of this mattress is made of 99% polyester and 1% elastane. This combination has worked great for them as this is a blend that is both breathable and durable. The cover comes with the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 label and that means it contains no harmful substances. The design is a modern one and it’s one I personally love. The upper white part is removable and if you want to clean it, you can pop it inside your washing machine. On the sides, the people at Emma have cleverly added 4 handles that will help you move it with ease. Overall, this is a comfortable cover that can also protect the mattress.
How firm is this mattress?
This is a question that sits on everyone’s mind so I have to answer it since I am writing this Emma Comfort Premium mattress review. As expected, this mattress comes with a medium-firm feel and if I use my virtual scale here, I would say it’s a 6.7 with 10 being really firm. Do you wonder how this mattress performed for me? Let’s find out below.
Starting from the back position, the mattress provided my body with adequate support and pressure relief. My spinal alignment was correct and I was comfortable in this position.
Turning to the side position, the pocket springs adjusted quickly and the weight distribution was optimal. This helped me to have a proper spinal alignment which is super important in this position.
Finally, turning to the front position, the Comfort Premium mattress did a great job with my hips and shoulders and I felt well supported. Pressure relief remained good and I was impressed with the overall performance of this mattress.
If you wonder about the edge support, the AeroFlex® pocket springs guarantee that you will get in and out of bed with ease. Moreover, this mattress is designed with zero motion technology so you won’t disturb your partner during the night.
How much will I pay for delivery?
When you order an Emma mattress you will get free delivery that usually takes between 0-7 working days. Yes, you heard right, they even offer same-day delivery providing you live in the metro areas of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. To get that though, you need to make sure you place your order before 10 am on weekdays. Communication is great and you will either receive an SMS or an email with updates about the delivery process. I got my mattress within one day from the moment I placed my order as I live in Sydney. The process was smooth and overall, I am very happy with their service.
Does it come with a trial period?
Emma is a brand that is known for its excellent service. If you decide to buy a mattress from them, you will get a 100-night trial period that offers you plenty of time to try it and decide at a later stage whether you want to keep it or not. In case you are not happy with it, you can return it and get a full refund. Returns are free and you don’t need to keep the original packaging to be able to do one.
Besides that, all Emma mattresses come with a 10-year warranty which is the standard these days. Before you purchase one, make sure you read the full terms and conditions so you know what is included on the cover. Overall, this is a comprehensive package so no complaints at all.
How much does it cost?
The Emma Comfort Premium mattress is available in 5 sizes so there are many options for you. The smaller available size (Single) will cost you $1,509 with the bigger (King) selling for $2,239. Of course, you should have in mind that Emma runs frequent promotions so you will pay less than that. For example, I only paid $1,050 for a Queen mattress.
