You can actually remove the cover and machine-wash it. Secondly, it’s very breathable and that helps the sleeping surface to stay cool during the night. Finally, it’s soft to the touch and adds a nice premium feeling to this mattress.
At the bottom, they have added an anti-slip base that will keep this mattress in place and on the sides, you will find 4 handles. These of course can help you move this mattress whenever that is needed. As you see, the people at Emma focused on practicality and this is something I value a lot. How firm is this mattress?
I want to continue with this Emma Comfort Essential mattress review and talk about its feel. This is a mattress that is built for the average sleeper so it comes with a medium-firm feel. If I use my virtual scale here, I would say it’s a 6.5 with 10 being really firm. I want to talk now about my experience with it during the past ten days.
Lying on my back, the mattress felt very supportive and the weight distribution was ideal. This made me feel very comfortable and I enjoyed sleeping this way.
Turning to my side, sinkage increased and that allowed my spine to align correctly. Support remained good and there was no pain or discomfort on my hips.
Finally, moving to the stomach position, the sleeping surface wasn’t as firm as I would have liked. Nothing too bad but I felt that other options like the Emma Comfort Adapt mattress did a better job in this position.
