Does it come with a good cover?

For starters, Tencel is made of wood pulp so it’s an eco-friendly material. Moreover, Tencel is naturally antibacterial and hypoallergenic. Finally, it’s very breathable and it’s a material that allows airflow. On the other hand, polyester behaves very similarly but it’s not a natural material. However, it adds durability which is very important for a good cover.
The design of the cover is a ‘clean’ one featuring a white colour with green details. Unfortunately, the cover is not removable and you cannot machine wash it. If it gets dirty, you should clean it with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For this reason, it’s highly advisable to use the Emma mattress protector which is 100% waterproof. On the sides, you will find 4 handles that will allow you to move this mattress with more ease and this is a nice practical feature. Overall, this is a great cover that won’t disappoint.
Is this a firm mattress?
It’s time to continue writing this Ecosa Essence mattress review and talk about its feel. As I have already mentioned, this mattress is available in 3 different firmness profiles. For this review, I will talk about the medium one which will probably suit the majority of sleepers. If I use my virtual scale here, I would say that this is a 6.5 with 10 being really firm. I want to talk now about this mattress’s performance during the past two weeks.
Lying on my back, the mattress distributed my weight evenly and that impressed me. There were also good levels of support and I was comfortable in this position.
Turning to the side, the pocket springs reacted quickly and that helped my spine align correctly. It was comfortable sleeping this way although pressure relief was average.
Finally, moving to the stomach position, the sleeping surface wasn’t as firm as I would have preferred and I think that front sleepers should go for the ‘firm’ option.
One of the impressive things about this mattress is its edge support. At this price, it’s hard to find a mattress that is such a solid construction. If you sleep with a partner, there is some motion transfer but nothing too much. That makes the Essence mattress suitable for couples.
Does the Essence mattress sleep cool?
This is a mattress designed for the Australian climate so it has an efficient cooling system. After all, the people at Ecosa chose materials that are breathable and have an open-cell structure. The Tencel cover does an amazing job and the Essence mattress will sleep cool even during the hot summer months.
Do they offer free delivery?
If you live in a Metro area like Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide you will be offered a free next-day delivery service. I have to mention here that you have to place your order before 11:59 pm on a weekday. Additionally, you can choose your delivery slot during the checkout process. This is super handy, especially for busy people like myself. If you are in a hurry, you can ask for a same-day delivery that will cost you an extra $50 but you will have to place your order before 11:30 pm.
For the rest of the areas, you will have to wait between 1-7 business days. That is normal and for some rural areas, delivery will cost an extra $175. In my case, I am based in Sydney so I got my mattress within a day. The whole process was straightforward and communication from the Ecosa side was fantastic. The box arrived in good condition and overall, I was happy with their service.
Will I get a trial period?
