The Onebed mattress is made of 5 layers plus the cover. In detail, these are:
- An Auralux grid layer that has excellent pressure-relieving properties and allows airflow.
- A memory foam layer that is infused with cooling gel and can draw heat away from the body for a more comfortable sleep.
- An Auralux foam layer that blends memory foam comfort with latex-like support.
- A pocket-spring layer that is separated into 5 zones for tailored support.
- An edge support foam encasement that prevents sagging. It’s infused with charcoal, which makes it way more hygienic.

Does it feature a nice cover?
The cover of this mattress is made of polyester. This is a material that is very durable and will last for a long time. Moreover, polyester is quite breathable, and this will allow the sleeping surface to stay cool during the night. Lastly, polyester is easy to maintain, and you won’t face an issue cleaning it. The top part can be unzipped, which will allow you to flip the top layer whenever you want to change the feel.
The design is a modern one featuring a navy colourway. Unfortunately, there are no side handles, and this is the only thing missing here. Overall, this is a well-made cover that combines quality with performance.
How firm is this mattress?

As I have mentioned before, this mattress has an adjustable feel, so you can choose either to have a medium or a medium-firm feel. I used both setups, and I felt that they were quite close. Having said that, the medium setup will suit those who seek more comfort, and the medium-firm setup will suit those who seek more support.
Furthermore, stomach sleepers should go for the medium-firm feel, while side sleepers should opt for the medium setup. Back sleepers will be ok with any setup. Regardless of the sleeping position, the Onebed Max mattress was very supportive and distributed weight evenly. It also had a very efficient cooling system that helped create a pleasant sleeping environment. Finally, the mattress has great edge support thanks to the foam encasement, so it’s ideal for couples or older people.
Do they offer free delivery?
When you buy a Onebed mattress, you will get free delivery for all of mainland Australia. Having said that, if you live in a remote area, there might be a delivery cost, but Onebed will inform you about it before they ship it. Delivery is relatively fast and will usually take between 2 and 5 working days. The mattress will arrive rolled inside a carton box, and all you have to do is unpack it and let it decompress for a few hours.
My mattress took 3 working days to arrive, and I remind you that I live in Sydney. Communication was excellent, and I was well informed about every step of the delivery process. The courier was extremely friendly, and overall, I was very happy with their service.
