It measures 74 x 40.5 x 15.5cm so it’s a relatively large pillow. When you order one from them, you will get a 120-night trial period and a 5-year warranty. This is the best package out there and Koala did an excellent job here. Finally, they offer free delivery and in some regions, they even offer same-day delivery! I got my pillow about a month ago so it’s a good time now to move to the full review below.

This can be a problem for stomach sleepers as the high loft can make them feel uncomfortable. Having said that, this was not the case for me and I think the fact that it has a softer side helps a lot. I had a good experience with all sleeping positions but I think that this is best suited to side and back sleepers. The memory foam piece provided my neck and head with pressure relief and the pillow was very supportive. Overall, it’s a versatile option and I was really impressed by it.

This mattress is designed for those who like a firmer feel. If I use my virtual scale here, I would say that this is an 8 with 10 being really firm. I would like now to talk about the different sleeping positions and how this mattress performed.

Starting from the back position, the mattress felt very firm from the beginning. I felt well supported and my spine was aligned properly. Pressure relief was average but this is something I expected from this mattress.

Turning to the side position, the mattress reacted quickly and sinkage increased. I felt well supported but it wasn’t very comfortable in this position. This mattress is quite firm and side sleepers should probably look elsewhere.

Finally, moving to the stomach position, I felt that this mattress did a great job! My hips and shoulders were aligned properly and it was very comfortable in this position. Support was excellent and I think that this mattress will suit most stomach sleepers.

The ‘Firm Favourite’ is also suitable for those who share their bed with a partner. The foam-only construction means that the motion transfer is minimal so you won’t get too much partner disturbance. On the other hand, edge support is average but this is expected from a mattress of this kind.

What type of bed should I use with this mattress?

All Brosa mattresses can be used with any type of bed frame. However, the maker suggests you use a slatted bed frame, a box spring base or an adjustable base. You can also use your floor but this is not very hygienic so you should probably avoid this option. For me, the best choice is the slatted base as it allows airflow which is important for all mattresses.

You can remove it and machine-wash it, so this is another great feature. The pillow measures 38cm x 56cm, which means it will fit in your standard pillowcases. Overall, I think the cover is good and does the job.

Support

The main reason you should buy this pillow is because of its ability to adjust its height. It comes with 2 extra pads that you can add or remove accordingly to adjust the height that suits your body type. Ecosa has created the guide below to help you with the setup.

Using the pillow, I noticed that it’s designed to work only for back and side sleepers. I personally didn’t feel comfortable in the stomach position. Although it does work well in the 2 mentioned positions, I think it’s a major drawback that it is not suitable for all 3 positions. If you are strictly a non-stomach sleeper, then this pillow will be very good for you as it will provide your neck and head with good support and pressure relief.

One thing that is really important when it comes to pillows is the height. During sleep, we change positions, which means that our neck needs different support every time we move. Therefore, if a pillow is too thick, it won’t be good in the stomach position, and if it’s too slim, it won’t be good in the side position. Ergoflex did a good job here as they combined a relatively slim design with firm memory foam. The result is great as the pillow worked very well in every sleeping position. The memory foam also provided my neck with pressure relief, especially in the back position. The pillow is also comfortable, and overall, I think it’s a great one.

The cover of this mattress is made of Natural Tencel. It’s a fantastic material that has many advantages. Firstly, it’s very breathable and feels soft. Secondly, it’s hypoallergenic and anti-microbial, so if you are an allergy sufferer, this mattress can be good for you. The cover is removable and you can machine wash it at 30°. Besides the outer Tencel cover, the mattress features a protective micro-fine inner cover which protects the core of the mattress.

The design of the cover is Scandi, featuring grey and white tones. I personally liked it as it looks very different from all the other mattresses I have reviewed. In general, I think this is one of the best covers I have seen. It’s made with excellent material, it’s very breathable, and it’s easy to clean. I don’t think I have any complaints here.

How firm is the Ergoflex mattress?

The Ergoflex mattress features an orthopaedic design, so I was expecting it to be firmer than most rolled mattresses. It still is a medium-firm mattress, but I would say it’s a 7 in my virtual scale. I remind you that 10 is really firm and 1 is really soft. It’s time now to talk about the different sleeping positions and how this mattress performed.

Starting from the back position, I immediately felt the high-quality memory foam layer hugging my shoulders and hips. It’s a firm foam, and I must say it felt great in this position. The support and pressure relief were there, and my spine was aligned properly. The mattress did an excellent job in this position.

Moving to the side position, the foam reacted relatively quickly for a memory foam one, but the mattress felt a bit firm for this position. Sinkage was not enough for my spine to get into the right position, and I felt that I needed more depth in the hip area. Firmer mattresses tend not to suit the side position, so I was expecting that.

Finally, moving to the stomach position, the mattress offered the right support in the hips and chest area. It was extremely comfortable, and the firmness of the mattress was ideal for this position. I think that the Ergoflex mattress is ideal for the back and stomach position and average for the side position.

The mattress is also very good for couples. The foam construction means minimal motion transfer, so you won’t be disturbed by your partner. The edge support is also good for a memory foam mattress, and in general, Ergoflex is well-built.

Does this mattress sleep cool?

Despite featuring a foam-only construction, the Ergoflex mattress has an impressive cooling performance. It achieves that thanks to a Cool-Sleep airflow layer, which is located at the very core of this mattress. Besides that, the rest of the mattress also features an open-cell construction that allows airflow. Around it, there is a breathable tencel cover which completes the efficient cooling mechanism. That makes the Ergoflex mattress suitable for hot sleepers but also for the Australian climate.
